Is anyone going to bring up the fact that Cara Kernodle, Xana Kernodle’s mother, was detained on November 19 on drug-related charges and is being held on a $50,000 bail, as questioned by Twitter user @OSUBucks89? The user also sent a screenshot of the most recent inmate roster from the Kootenai County Jail.
“That’s a pretty strong bond and happened so quickly after the deaths of Xana and the roommates as to be irrelevant,” they said.
The arrest of Cara Kernodle and drug charges
The mother of Xana Kernodle, Cara Kernodle, was detained on November 19 and is currently being held on a $50,000 bail.
Cara Denise Kernodle was classified as a suspect at the Kootenai County Jail in Idaho, where she was being held on drug-related charges.
There has been a long history of claims, according to a Twitter user. She went under a different name on social media, but after seeing a picture of her with her two daughters—one of whom was unmistakably X—it was determined that this was her mother.
The user said, “Not sure if there is a connection; it’s just another depressing level.”
A link to a 2013 warrant stating “Kernodle, Cara Denise” from Rathdrum, who was allegedly fined $2,000 for driving without a license, was included after baseball writer Stacie Wheeler became interested in the conversation.
Father of Xana Kernodle Discusses the Tragic Event
It is unknown who Xana Kernodle’s mother is; but, following the tragedy, her father, Jeff Kernodle, stepped out to honor his courageous daughter.
He said that Xana had bruises on her body as evidence that she had reacted against her assailant in an interview with Arizona source 3TV/CBS 5.
The grieving father commended his daughter for being a strong and talented lady. He asserted that she wasn’t excessively worried about the drama or other issues. She never considered the outside world; all she cared about was having fun.
Because his daughter spoke to her family often, according to Jeff, nothing about that evening appeared out of the norm. According to rumors, Xana and Chapin attended a party on the evening of November 12 while Mogen and Goncalves were out at a bar.

On November 13, Xana, 20, her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, 20, and friends Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, all 21, were found dead from stab wounds on the second and third floors of an off-campus apartment complex in Moscow, Idaho.
The deaths are believed to have been carried out with a knife in “Rambo” fashion when the pupils were dozing asleep. Their housemates Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke were allegedly present during the killings but managed to flee unscathed.
They reportedly found the bodies and woke up hours later to call 911. According to Idaho Police, Mortensen, and Funke are not being treated as suspects in the case.
