Bobby Green’s Coach and Foster Father

Bobby Green had a tough childhood. His biological father, Mitchell Davis, was incarcerated, and his mother, Connie Scoot, was unable to take care of him because of her drug addiction. He became a foster child at 5 years old and faced troubles everywhere until he found Jacob Bentley. Initially, Green did not like him and would rather spend his time in the worst of the neighborhoods. However, Benhey would go looking for him, and eventually, the two bonded. Benhey coached him into becoming an MMA fighter. He also adopted Green and became his foster father.

After winning his fight against Clay Guida at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov on June 20, 2020. Green introduced his Caucasian foster father and coach to the audience. He also discussed the loving relationship and strong bond between them and urged everyone to come together and love each other irrespective of their skin color.

Jacob Benhey’s Prison Experience

Bobby Green's foster father and coach, Jacob Benhey, also had a prison stint as a first-time offender. The father-son duo discussed this with Joe Rogan at The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Benhey claimed that he was in a California prison where it was against the rules to talk, sit, or trade with a person of another race. However, he was unaware of this, which got him into trouble. He got into a fight with an inmate and choked him unconscious.

Then, he was transferred from county to state. He also had to end in a fight against two guys because some of his cellmates planned on attacking and killing him. However, he managed to take both of them out with his fighting skills.
