On Friday, June 15th, we got the opportunity to attend Harry Styles: Live On Tour in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and it was easily one of the best concerts of 2018.

Anxious fans wait for the doors to open. Most of them brought rainbow pride flags because Harry is known for waving pride flags on stage. Going to a Harry Styles show is basically like going to a pride parade. Harry even has T-Shirts that say “Treat People With Kindness” on it. We definitely snagged one of those before we left the concert.

Kacey Musgraves brought her country-styled music on the road with Harry as his opening act. She sang songs from her new album, “Golden Hour,” and her previous album including “Follow Your Arrow” and “Love Is A Wild Thing.” During her set, she admitted that she was nervous performing a different genre of music than Harry and wasn’t sure how the fans were going to feel about the music, but she’s gotten a good reaction from the crowds so far.

At around 9:00 p.m., the arena anxiously awaits for the man they all came to see. The stage was shaped in a circle so the whole arena was open. The short but long screens circled around the stage and showed Harry’s hands while he was trying to figure out a rubik’s cube and a loop of the same song played through the speakers.

From our view, we could see over the screen so we got a little sneak peak. We were the lucky ones to see Harry on the stage waiting for the lights to go down. When they did, Harry’s cartoon solved the rubik’s cube and the line, “Should we just search romantic comedies on Netflix and then see what we find?” is said through the speakers, that line is the start of Harry’s song, “Woman.” Soon after, “Only Angel” begins and the screens slowly rise to show Harry standing at his microphone stand.

His set included all of his songs from his 2017 album, “Harry Styles,” plus One Direction songs, “Stockholm Syndrome,” “If I Could Fly,” and “What Makes You Beautiful.” Other songs were covers including, “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” by Ariana Grande and “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac. The other two songs were new, unreleased songs called “Medicine” and “Anna.”

He also did more than just sing, he also loves to interact with the crowd during his shows. He always makes sure that the fans are okay and having the time of their lives, we sure were! He tried finding a fan a girlfriend, he was asked to sign a shoe, and talked to a fan that was five months pregnant. We also saw Harry waving around a pride flag that said “Make America Gay Again” on it.

Harry ended the night with his rock song, “Kiwi.” Overall, we had a blast at Harry’s show on Friday night and we can’t wait for him to return!
