When model Bridget Moynahan split from her former NFL star lover, she discovered she was expecting their baby. However, the pair amicably decided to go their separate ways either way, and Moynahan has since found her happily ever after.

Actress Bridget Moynahan's "Blue Bloods" character, Erin Reagan-Boyle, may be a divorced woman on the TV series, but she, in real-life, is happily married.

The TV star is married to renowned New York businessman Andrew Frankel. The couple celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on October 17, 2022.

Moynahan found her love after a difficult time being a single mom to her son, John, whom she shares with former partner, football star Tom Brady.

How Moynahan Fell in Love with the "Nicest Guy"

Per Country Living, via People, Moynahan met her future husband through a mutual friend. However, it remains unclear when the couple crossed paths.

An insider revealed to People that the brunette beauty was "on cloud nine" when she met Frankel, adding the lovebirds have been inseparable ever since.

Frankel and Moynahan got engaged in April 2015 and walked down the aisle a few months later. The model has since spoken candidly about her spouse and praised him while promoting her cookbook "The Rachel Ray Show in 2015:

"He's the nicest guy ever. Genuine, kind, and sensitive. He's the best. He'll eat basically anything and tell me it's great."

Frankel is a business magnate who started his career with Steinhardt Partners. After that, he joined his family-owned firm, Stuart Frankel & Co., in 1993.

He has served as co-president of the firm for over twenty years. Per the company's website, the family business is the New York Stock Exchange's oldest independent broker.

His wife's stylist, Basia Zamorska, revealed to People how he popped the big question. Frankel reportedly proposed to Moynahan during a "romantic getaway" in Puerto Rico and did so with the ring that she had "always" dreamed of.

He got down and presented the New York native with a vintage estate ring from Fred Leighton. The source added: "The diamond is set 'east-west,' exactly what the bride has always wanted."

The Couple's Surprise Wedding

Moynahan and Frankel said their "I dos" in a "surprise" and private affair in front of close friends and family in Long Island. The ceremony occurred in Sagaponack, New York, at Wolfer Estate Vineyard on October 19, 2015.

The couple invited their loved ones for a harvest moon ceremony, which was the opposite. However, the guests later learned they would be gathering to honor Frankel and Moynahan's love and celebrate their wedding at a private reception.

The wedding planners revealed the occasion's theme was rustic with a "festive fall feeling." Zamorska, who worked on the bride's wedding dress, divulged they "surprised" Moynahan "with her favorite H.Stern earrings," which were rare.

The wedding was also attended by Moynahan's then eight-year-old son John who witnessed his mom exchanging vows in an open field.

Co-workers of David Reinhard Events, Ann David and Nicky Reinhard, told People that Moynahan and Frankel got sold on the plan to have "an intimate, fall harvest wedding."

The bride opted for a mermaid-style gown, and J Mendel, who attended fittings in person, divulged that they celebrated the finished product "with champagne."

Planners disclosed the couple's vision for their big day, revealing they wanted to make it a family affair instead of the actual event. The duo desired their special day to be simple with "a cool vibe and great energy."

The Couple Raises Four Kids Together

Before tying the knot to Frankel, Moynahan had amicably split with Brady in 2006 following three years of dating. Months later, she learned that she was pregnant with their child together.

The "I, Robot" star gave birth to her one and only child in August 2007 and opened up about her birthing experience a year later, in June 2008, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

When she got home from the hospital, Moynahan teared up and explained that people told her, "You give birth, you go home, and you have this amazing baby, and it's just beautiful." She admitted that once she arrived home, "I just started sobbing."

Moynahan broke down because she feared raising her son alone without prior experience bringing up a child. "It's frightening," she expressed.

Moreover, the mother of one never imagined that she would be a single mom. She explained that that "traumatic" journey, combined with the heartbreak, overwhelmed her, adding it radically changed her life "and knocked the wind out of me," said Moynahan.

However, she later realized that being a single mom was not so disheartening and embraced her new norm as a parent, which she deemed "the best thing in the world."

Moynahan discovered she was three months pregnant shortly after parting ways with NFL quarterback Brady, whom she started dating in 2004 and who, by that time, had already moved on with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Meanwhile, she, on the other hand, was raising her child alone.

Still, the "Coyote Ugly" star was positive that she could raise Jack alone, although she expressed anxiety and fears about doing it. Moynahan explained she had to consider the ups and downs that could come with bringing up her son singlehandedly in different aspects of her life.

She had to inform her parents, which she said was a difficult thing to do. Moynahan explained that because no one was standing by her at the time, the conversation she had to have with her mom and dad was a "challenge" in her situation:

"I'm a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that's the way I'd be doing this. For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family."

Fortunately, she did get married and was able to build a blended family with Frankel, who has three boys from a previous relationship. Multiple insiders revealed to People that the pair looked forward to raising their sons together.

Jack was also said to be "excited" about "gaining three incredible older brothers" at the time. Frankel and Moynahan have no kids together.
