The Boise Airport announced new routes Wednesday to Chicago, Austin, and more.

Alaska Airlines will open a nonstop service from Boise to Chicago and Austin on June 17. The new routes will be offered year-round.

“I applaud Alaska Airlines and thank them for their continued investment in the Boise community,” said Boise Mayor Lauren McLean. “These new routes make air travel more convenient for our residents and businesses and help strengthen Boise’s growing economy.”

Alaska Airlines will also begin an additional daily frequency to Sacramento, offering service twice daily, and plans to begin nonstop service to Everette, WA later this year.

The news comes a month after BOI and JetBlue announced a nonstop flight from Boise to New York City will be created this summer.

Allegiant also released news in February that a new flight from Boise to Nashville will be available in May.
